case in point

when Luddy reached down and smacked a low curveball for a ringing base hit, a pitch that ended up below the knee when he hit it, Buck “pointed out” that if a pitcher leaves a curve hanging like that a good hitter will smash it. An inning or so later, a Boston player, Youk I think, hit a hard single on what really WAS a hanging curve, and Buck praised the hitter for his fine adjustment, or whatever.

Raise your hand

if you thought going into the series that this lineup would embarrass BOTH Dice-K and Papelbon in the series.

daisuke has walked a ton this year and was coming off an injury, so i thought we might get to him though. papelbon, though – with two outs, duncan, and AK – is just insane!
