Attn: Cardinals fans in Chicago
Since the game this weekend looks like it will be on Fox (*crosses fingers*), we should meet somewhere to watch the game. Whether it's at my house, somewhere else, etc. let's figure something out, and chip in on a case of beer (or two?).
The game starts at 3pm, and afterwards there's the Cubs vs. White Sox, which is always pretty interesting. Let me know if you're interested: georgebowles@yahoo.com or just post here and we'll mull it over.

cool idea! you might want to obfuscate your email address, though – VEB is cached by google.

cool idea
I do have some obligations this saturday that aren’t exactly set in stone, so i’m not sure. Also, are you located in the city? Cause I’m waaaaaaayyyy out in Naperville.
Btw, I just checked out your website. Beautiful work and your “self portrait” is intriguing and interesting, to say the least.

STL Cardinal Havens in Chi
While unfortunately I am KC instead of Chicago for the next year, I spent 4 wonderful years watching cardinal games at Sedgwick’s in Lincoln Park. For the final game of the 2006 world series, the tables were filled about 4 hours before the game started, and the place was like a frat party gone horribly wrong by the end of the game and many hours into the night. Sadly, I had to leave around 3 in the morning to make the Missouri-OU debacle at noon in Columbia.
The regular season games aren't quite so well-attended, but if you want to find a bar to watch Cards games at, that's your best bet.

My kid is in his championship Little League series this weekend,
so I cannot make it…I would, however, like to set something up for later in the summer…I’m in Oak Park, so just about anywhere would be good for me.

Not sure if this weekend will work...
The fiancee and I have commitments downtown up until game time. However, I think that we’d like to get together with fellow Cardinal fans at some point in the summer, if possible.

Waukegan for me
Maybe do something for a game down the strech or the playoffs. (Although the 4th of July sounds like fun.)
That said, the Cubs do deserve my pity, but never my support.

yeah
I’ll do another one of these posts for the 4th of July game (screw fireworks, let’s watch some baseball!)

Elmwood Park in the blog
Sounds good but I have kid things to do. However I can’t read KCSteve’s post.
It cuts off after want to find a bar….
Where is a good place to hang out with other people who bleed red?

Man I didn't see the post til today.
But we should definitely have a get together for another game in the season. I’m sure there have to be some St. Louis friendly bars in the city considering all of the transplants from St. Louis. Im out in the northwest suburbs, but I frequent the city and would be up for hanging out with fellow redbird fans (b/c I certainly don’t find many of them around here!)
That was a real test," Soriano said of the play. "He didn’t call the ball, I didn’t call the ball, but I saw him close to the ball and I let him get the ball."
