Hotels near Busch, with metro access for Lambert

Hopefully someone can help me. I'm looking to go to a game this Saturday before I have to report back to base in Houston. My flight out is on Sunday morning, and I would need a Hotel/Motel that has Metro nearby (within walking distance w/luggage), or a short cab ride so I can get to Lambert in time to depart. If yall have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Westin

The Westin is extremely nice. It’s right across the street from the ballpark, and the metro stop is between the hotel and the park. Not sure about availability, though…

Westin

Also, the visiting team stays there. I’ve passed, stood right next to or ridden in the elevator with several ballplayers and managers. It’s pretty cool if you are a die-hard baseball fan…..some might not care of course.

The Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis is nice

I’ve stayed there a couple times and have been happy with it each time. It’s just a couple blocks from Busch. I’m sure it will be at least $100 unless you can find a special deal (do most hotels offer military discounts?), but everything downtown will be. You also get a free hot breakfast and free happy hour drinks in the evening, FWIW.

Airport

Not sure if you were meaning that you actually wanted to stay Downtown….

Id bet that the hotels out by the airport are cheaper than 170 a night. The metro goes all the way out to the Lambert. (just make sure you get on before it closes, i think around midnight)

Use google to locate some hotels, travelocity or one of those to get a good deal out there.
Try this: (search: hotel)

Airport

If you are going to stay near the airport, there are any number of cheap motels. Downtown, the cheapest you are probably going to get is the Econo Lodge Riverfront, near Laclede’s Landing. There is a Hampton Inn downtown that is also probably around $100.

I always stay at the Millennium Hotel

because it is cheap and I never have trouble finding a room there. not the best place, but I thought it was fine.

hell....

i thought you were saying that was the only way Chris would ever get to see the inside of busch stadium…and that’s cold. then i was gonna tell you he’s not in the system anymore.

sorry i can’t really help you, but wanted to share my initial interpretation based on the headline :)

hotels

Hyatt at Union Station is terrific. Ask for an upgrade to the Regency Floor. Ten minute walk to the stadium and a one minute walk to the Cardinal store. Italian restaurant adjacent to the back side of the hotel is wonderful. Sorry I forgot the name, but it’s about two minutes away, across the street and in the basement.

Enjoy

Casino Queen....

You might want to check what kind of deal they will give you. The metro stops right there as well.

hotels.com

These are the best prices I saw for downtown hotels advertised on hotels.com for this weekend:

Hyatt Riverfront $129
Millennium $143
Hilton Ballpark $139

The Hyatt Riverfront is the old Adams Mark, excellent hotel across from the Arch. Nothing cheap downtown comes to mind.

I stayed at Millennium

for about half that price when I went… but then again, I probably paid over a month in advance and used hotwire.com I think
