give us a few more scoreless welley

please

How many times has Joe made an ass of himself so far? I count three.

- Right before the first pitch, he said Wellemeyer doesn’t throw hard. Then Wellemeyer blew away Soriano on a 96 MPH fastball.

- Morgan discussed how Fukudome is like Ichiro because he drags his back foot, while ESPN showed footage of Fukudome not dragging his back foot.

- Morgan discussed OBP, saying that guys at the very top of the order need it because they have to have the big guys drive them in to score runs. As my roommate said, “What, the other guys don’t score runs, Joe?”

Am I missing anything?

I'm sure you are.

FJM has officially conditioned me to hate that man.

I just read FJM

Hilarious article by HatGuy today. He actually cites Harry Potter as part of his argument. Gold.

99.9 percent of the stuff there is gold

if only they would post more often

I think they'd lose the quality if they did it more often

There’s only so many brutal articles to go around.

With no evidence to the contrary, Colby Rasmus is clutch

by joker24 on May 4, 2008 9:32 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

between brutal articles and brutal broadcasts

I think they would have plenty to work with

Well

Apparently, Soriano’s “personality” is suited for lead off. Even if his OBP is atrocious. His “personality” says otherwise.

by Colonel Wellemeyer on May 4, 2008 9:29 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

And

That tailing 2-seamer than Pujols just drilled down the line was “definitely not his fastball” and was, in fact, a slider.

by mojowo11 on May 4, 2008 9:33 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

as bad as

Joe Morgan is I like him more than Tim McCarver, and this team is better then Al and Dan. At least when these guys talk they are talkng about the game not the sandwich they had for lunch.

have

you been listening to this game?

C'mon you Redbirds, lets prove em' wrong, again!

by yer dog first on May 4, 2008 9:34 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

yes

joe is bad Al is worse

by nybirdfan on May 4, 2008 9:35 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

i disagree

but only because al is rooting for the cardinals. i might take joe over him if they are both “unbiased”

Are you listening to tonight?

Al is a homer, and is overly optimistic, but Joe is just plain stupid about baseball, not sure how he ever played.

by StLHugo on May 4, 2008 9:36 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

yeah

but I learn a lot when Al actually talks about pitching.

but when he does we miss the action on three AB’s

by nybirdfan on May 4, 2008 9:37 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

nah,

we miss the game calling when they are doing god awful interviews and talking about that old broad in the basement and her cooking :D

Oh yeah

Forgot about that one. He had it all the way, nevermind that he overran it by two steps.

by mojowo11 on May 4, 2008 9:39 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

New one.

From the dugout, you can’t see in/out, but damnit you can see “heidth,” which is probably similar to height.

Soriano

Zito can only hurt you every five games… altho now that he’s in the bullpen, that old axiom might not hold true.

by bjork24 on May 4, 2008 9:27 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

Oh come on

We’re a month into the season, and he missed a bunch of it with an injury. Sample size.

Does Howard suck now, too?

by mojowo11 on May 4, 2008 9:28 PM EDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

people rarely pay attention to sample size

not much annoys me more
