What Does Your All-Star Team Look Like?
First off - a few of our Cardinals aren't getting the love they deserve. So go vote 25 times for who you want. Berkman belongs at the game, but its embarrassing that he's leading the vote getting at 1B :-/ Lets turn that around.
Does it strike anyone else that the NL looks to have a particularly strong pool of players this year? Is this the year the NL makes a come-back? Heck, you could man half the field with NL Central first basemen.
So who are you voting for? I don't follow the AL as closely so I'm just gonna throw out my NL line-up w/ the DH
- Hanley Ramirez
- Kosuke Fukudome
- Albert Pujols
- Lance Berkman
- Chipper Jones
- Matt Holliday
- Chase Utley
- Nate McLouth
- Geovany Soto
the NL has some big-time talent this year. I think this would be an extremely well balanced Lineup.
Who're you voting for? I suppose I should be yelled at for the lack of cardinals on here, but I think these guys all are having very strong years.

How in the world
is Chase Utley batting SEVENTH in this lineup, right behind a guy who is on the DL????
"I believe he’s been reincarnated, that he played before, in the twenties and thirties, and he’s back to prove something." - Former teammate Mark McGwire about Albert Pujols
arg.
didn’t realize holliday was on the dl! i had a hard time placing him.. I have no idea how to order this thing.. i was trying to balance out speed, on-base ability and power throughout the lineup. but they’re all good. maybe utley 2nd, ludwick for holliday and drop fukudome or pence down to utley’s spot.

fukudome...
doesn’t deserve to be an all-star. You can’t get there on OBP alone.

Dude, you forgot Ludwick
Seriously, without Cards fan support, he will never get the recognition he deserves.
However, outside of Holliday and Fuku-you-dome, this is an excellent ballot in my opinion.
Here is Mine
C. Martin
1B. Berkman
2B. Utley
3B. C. Jones
SS. Ramirez
OF. McLouth
OF. Braun
OF. Ludwick
DH. Pujols
A couple of crazy things I see when I look at the ballot
1. You could make a case for any or all of the Pittsburgh outfielders. Bay is seemingly back, Nady is hitting for average and power, and well McLouth has been awesome.
2. Benjie Molina (and McCann) could make a case for being an allstar. I laughed when I saw him penciled in as the Giants clean up guy, but he hasn’t really let them down.
3. Look at Uggla’s numbers, they aren’t that far behind Utley’s
N: roster:
I’d love to see guys like Ludwick get a shot.. but the voting is entirely based on namesake. Even if Derek Jeter was batting .260 with 4 home runs, he’d be the AL starter.
C – Brian McCann
1B – Albert Pujols
2B – Chase Utley
3B – David Wright
SS – Hanley Ramirez
LF – Matt Holliday
CF – Pence
RF – Ludwick
On the bench I’d have C Soto, 2B D. Uggla (my god, he’s tearing it up!!), SS Rollins, 3B Chipper, OF Francoeur, OF Bay, OF McLouth
DH – Lance Berkman
With the Well on the mound = )
Also, why does the MLB allow you to vote 25 times? I’m pretty certain my vote means nothing now, as I don’t feel like sitting at the computer for an hour to re-write a roster more than once.
but
if you just keep hitting ‘revote’ or whatever, it remembers your previous selections and you can just click away. might take 5 mins to vote 25 times.
