Move Looper to the Pen?
After last night's performance, and his previous 3, I think it is time the Cardinals to look internally for another SP to replace him. Do you call up Anthony Reyes and try to build some trade value since you are not gaining a whole lot by having Looper start? Do you let Mike Parisi get his shot at the rotation in order to build for the future?
On a side note...I believe Lohse brings more value to the Cardinals in a deadline trade than he does actually being on the staff. The way the pitchers who have been called up have performed this season, I think we should continue to look to build the rotation from within and save the money for draft pick signings.

I would like to see Parisi get a shot.
It would be great to see Parisi get a shot if a rotation spot opens up. I would say the same about McClellan, but I’d hate to remove him from the bullpen this year. Boggs looks like he’s performing pretty well at AAA. (3.51 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 38/17 K/BB) I think Reyes is going to continue to “gain trade value” (wink, wink) in AAA until the deadline. I don’t envision seeing him in St. Louis again. I could be wrong. It’s happened before.
I don't like Parisi or McLellan
Without any proof whatsoever other than thinking “wtf is TLR doing, he’s gonna hurt the kid” and then seeing the kid hurt, I think that bouncing between the rotation and the bullpen last year is what ruined Thompson’s arm. I’d hate to see it happen to someone with a higher upside like Lil’Mac.
Give Reyes one more shot. We’ll probably lose the game, but it’s better than losing a player for a year because he had to have TJ…
