I hate Extra Innings

they loaded the Cardinals game after the Yankees game AGAIN today and yet again, the Yankees game is going to go 3.5 hours, thus I’ll miss the first inning of the game.

I love paying to get screwed.

Notice a facial resemblance in Kershaw

to Orel Hershiser on the one hand, and Da Raz on the other?

by StanTheManFan on May 25, 2008 4:08 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I thought Hershiser as well

I almost thought it was a joke.

Whoah-I guess I wasn’t the only one to notice…

As the rotosidebar says

we are skipping Pineiro’s left start. They blame partly shoulder soreness and partly punishment for coughing up the lead the last two times out.

that's not really hustle

He’s supposed to be there. That was “guarantee double defense”. In other words, Russell had the double, the object is to keep it a double, so you have two cutoff men (both middle infielders) and the first baseman covers 2nd since there’s nothing else for him to do.

It’s pretty standard. He’s called the trailer and it’s the 1st base coach’s duty to inform the runner of the “trailer”.

Tony obviously

likes Skip’s .229 .302 .250 .552
a lot more
than Rick’s .304 .360 .522 .882
against lefties this year
That plus the fact Rick has played too much the last week, he needed a day off*

DeWitt comes to the plate

and they play “Immigrant Song”.

If I was Springer, I’d be pissing myself.

does he still ride a vespa from the bullpen to the mound?

Hu's on first

I’ve been wanting to say that for so long…

Note to Springer:

First you pick up the ball, then you shuttle it to the Mang.

Hu's on first

I wanted to say it just this once.

doesn’t manage for us anymore.

Izturis is really quite impressive

going into the hole. Maybe it is just as Sleepy described, but I’m becoming a believer.

I don't mind his lack of hitting with the D his is playing

But it’s a shame we have 3 position players all in that category. Kind of makes it a problem. If only Molina could hit just a LITTLE bit better.

Seriously?

Broxton bats and CHAN HO PARK is in the bullpen warming up????

Really?

Why isn't he a starter

as Sleepy pointed out earlier (what is this the third reference?), he’s got the build and stuff of a starter.

What’s the story?

Watching Big Joe

hustle down the line made me fear for Albert’s heel as he stretched to glove the throw.

is it really that dark in LA?

Vin won’t shut up about how dark it is.

My concern was not that we couldn't win last night without

Ludwick…..but rather why get a hot bat out of the lineup and screw up his timing perhaps? Thanks Tony.
