I hate Extra Innings

they loaded the Cardinals game after the Yankees game AGAIN today and yet again, the Yankees game is going to go 3.5 hours, thus I’ll miss the first inning of the game.

I love paying to get screwed.

we are skipping Pineiro’s left start. They blame partly shoulder soreness and partly punishment for coughing up the lead the last two times out.

that's not really hustle

He’s supposed to be there. That was “guarantee double defense”. In other words, Russell had the double, the object is to keep it a double, so you have two cutoff men (both middle infielders) and the first baseman covers 2nd since there’s nothing else for him to do.

It’s pretty standard. He’s called the trailer and it’s the 1st base coach’s duty to inform the runner of the “trailer”.
