.200 OPS .200 OPS .200 OPS

41 PAs with a <.200 OPS

With no evidence to the contrary, Colby Rasmus is clutch

by joker24 on May 24, 2008 12:29 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

30 PAs

That’s what TLR used to base his decision of batting AK in the leadoff spot.

by lightbulb on May 24, 2008 12:30 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

actually

it had more to do with him having a lot of success off Lowe in his career. 368 was his average I believe.

With no evidence to the contrary, Colby Rasmus is clutch

Yeah, that's the 30 PAs

Crazy talk to bat a guy leadoff based on such a small sample size.

Baseball Reference link.

by lightbulb on May 24, 2008 12:34 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ahh gotcha.

but that’s not really a small sample size against a particular pitcher. That’s A LOT of pitches.

I’m certainly not justifying AK batting leadoff, but it makes since that he’s in the lineup.

It's a tiny sample size

And regardless how he hit Lowe 2+ years ago has absofuckinglutely nothing to do with how he’s going to hit him tonight.

With no evidence to the contrary, Colby Rasmus is clutch

I'm sorry, in Lowe started games

I’m sure he didn’t get 5 PAs against him, principle stands

Make that 2 for his last 15 against him in the last three years

But I’m sure the fact that he must’ve lit him up 4+ years ago has anything to do with a game in 2008

It is a non-predictively small sample

If you’re a good pitcher who hasn’t hit a pitcher, you’re due.

If you’re Roger Cedeno facing Clemens, you’re in the game.

You hear that?

If you were planning to rob Franklin of his Gold Medal, you know where it is at now.

Thanks Vin.

If I was him, I wouldn’t be laughing about anything

I would

Think about how much money he’s made and is making to be as bad as he is

If by "droning monotone" you mean...

“soothing calm”, then I’m with you. I could listen to him all day.

Didn't they do this last year

in STL with Izzy on the mound? It rained for like 2 hours and then Izzy finished the inning?

K-Mac

Got to assume that Kemp’s likely to walk. Kyle’s got the best groundball percentage in the bullpen.

If it rains longer than a half hour or so, that’s what I’d like to see.

It had to be 3-2, didn’t it?

But really, couldn’t they have just let Frank throw a pitch or two more?

wasn't just Albert

we had Albert, Luddy and Glaus facing him that night. Ah well, we caught him during a game where he was “on”.

at least the other two games weren’t even close to a save situation
