I’m just hoping he’ll use his better judgement and get rid of the crappy second baseman instead of sticking with him just because we gave him guaranteed money. Cut your losses at this point, the guy is clearly done.

He’s not a liability, which is my core concern. He is, however, providing opportunity costs to Ryan and is trending down as he’s being platooned in less. DFA? In my opinion, no.

Wasn’t his 2nd GIDP this game? Wasn’t both of his GIDP with Molina on 1st?

Look, I liked signing his contract as much as the next guy, not at all. but it’s done.

but calling the guy garbage and clamoring dfa is highly over the top in my opinion.

He had a solid set of games in the #2 hole this year, he was platooned out and never came back to the #2 hole, but the GDIP attribution is quite false.
