Uggla is a potential trade candidate due to expensive arb. years, as reported by Rosenthal. The infield is the most practical place to upgrade this team offensively, unless we revamp our outfield due to Ludwick's surge (Duncan is probably the one to go in this instance). I would not trade for pitching, unless we get a solid 2 or 3 back. As for the left side of the bullpen, a solid arm would be a major upgrade over Randy Flores, who has very crooked splits against righties and Villone, who also has the same problem (perhaps its the arm angle? Villone almost comes over the top, and most lefties are so hard on lefties because of the deception that the common, lower arm angle gives). Which would you want? Uggla, Holliday, Fuentes, or to go for broke for a top of the rotation starter like Burnett? Please justify which one you would choose and give a reasonable estimate of the cost. If you want, you can look at this as a needs based trading scenario also - for example, Reyes has been scouted by several teams like the braves, so we might ask for Lillibridge. Personally, I would like to see Uggla with the birds on the bat.
