Wainwright pretty steady tonight

One mildly hairy inning, but he got out of it with minimal damage.

Now, if only TLR would stop overthinking everything.

I just can't believe the marginal gains

of a lefty vs. righty matchup that TLR got outwiegh the possibility of having Skip available for a high leverage L/R matchup late in the game.

TLR just needs to learn to sit on his GD hands sometimes.

it just seems like that.

But they are hitting .279 with RISP, OPS of .795, .299 with Runners On, .821 OPS and overall, .279 with an OPS of .788

Pretty consistent, really. Even their RISP with 2 outs is .265 with an OPS of .774

It’s just with the OBP of the team so high, you get a lot of LOB.

Pinch hit with a pitcher who continues the inning and gets a run next at bat.

Tony, idiotic bunting attempt and a run for home. Then a pull of barton with 2/3 of the game left.. sigh

ok, the cubs now have 3 relievers (wood, fox and marmol)

and a backup catcher, and a first baseman who’s hitting .105 on the bench.

Should be an interesting last couple innings. I hope we burn through at least one more reliever.
