Create Your Own Player - Update 1!!
Welcome to the first update of the Create Your Own Player - Season. I originally planned on simming through 1 in game month per week, but because that would take way too long to sim out your players careers, i'll do half an ingame season per week. This week, because it involved the initial draft of your players, I simmed from June 1st, 2007 (Draft Day) to the end of the Major League Season. The next update will go from the beginning of 08 Spring Training to the 08 All Star Break.
I'll post an update once a week on Sunday.
If anyone just reading this for the first time wants to get involved, post here, and you'll be on the waiting list for the next time I allow new player made draftees.

Yea...
I thought it was pretty awesome. I'm not the one behind it though, all these players were thought up by other VEBer's, i'm just doing the simming.

say hey...
Gold Glove for 2B in the Pioneer League... not too shabby at all!
One other note though - I click the link for stats, and it takes me to the stats for Andrew Ganto.

IJ Pearson
Darn, my kid is unhappy as heck. I guess an OPS around .500 for the 2nd overall pick is reason enough to be unhappy. And no HR's. Just didn't put it together in Rookie Ball. Here's hoping he comes around next year.

Broadaway
given hometown of St. Louis, MO. Sweet........Maybe he'll wear the birds on the bat before he retires.
That's a winner!

A lot of us seem unhappy
Not even von Grossburg's gold glove can cheer him up (he was probably hoping for a better than .610 OPS).
