Game 21 overflow thread II

better lucky than good, eh? it's 8 to 8, and the cards have 2 on and 2 out in the top of the 9th. . . . . as in every other inning in this stupid game. they have stranded 13 men so far today. what's the franchise record for a 9-inning game?

who's the middle infield now?

hoping iz2 can stick it out. if not, probably schumaker moves into one of the mif spots, i guess?

coal, coal, coal.

I guess we’ve all been naughty this year.

by thefutureofamerica on Apr 22, 2008 4:32 PM EDT   0 recs

holy shit

can you possibly win after giving up this many chances to score runs??

by gossard56 on Apr 22, 2008 4:32 PM EDT   0 recs

Holy Cow

This could be interesting.

An all-star game?

15 men left on in 9 innings

if it’s not a franchise record, it’s got to be close

by lboros on Apr 22, 2008 4:33 PM EDT   0 recs

oh wow

Bert to 2nd…LaRUe to first…Miles to short..molina to catch

by brindled on Apr 22, 2008 4:33 PM EDT   0 recs

and duncan at first tomorrow if this works

I'm usually a big TLR backer

the moves today have me baffled

C'mon you Redbirds, lets prove em' wrong, again!

by yer dog first on Apr 22, 2008 4:34 PM EDT   0 recs

i agree, i trust in albert’s natural ability…but larue at 1st could be interesting..

by jodicards on Apr 22, 2008 4:35 PM EDT   0 recs

Perhaps

Larue will take a catchers stance behind first…

by brindled on Apr 22, 2008 4:36 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

worst roster management this year

This is what happens when TLR burns through his outfielders left and right. Ridiculous.

by azruavatar on Apr 22, 2008 4:36 PM EDT   0 recs

yes

ridiculous!!!

by gossard56 on Apr 22, 2008 4:38 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

we better win this one soon

we expended all of our resources to get to the bottom of the ninth.

if it goes more than 10 or 11, we lose.

Fantasy implications...

Man, I’d be happy if I had Pujols on my team and he was 2b eligible…

I am

My keeper league allows to move a player if he plays one game during the season at a position. For the rest of the year, AP will be at 2B.

Ankiels at bat totally unexceptable!!!!!!!

Guy is throw 50% change ups and Glaus is trying to pull something. What is this???

Westcoastbirdwatcher

by westcoastbirdwatcher on Apr 22, 2008 4:37 PM EDT   0 recs

Ankiel is a young hitter.........in many ways

You are seeing the evolution of Ankiel out of the 4th slot at least. When you need a single against a pitcher in that much trouble, with only a change up left, you don’t throw your right hand, open your shoulder. pull your chin out…...dreaming of baseball tonight coverage….......

Pujols at second

Aren’t we worried about his throwing arm elbow? Why is he at second?

I was gonna say,

I’d rather see La Rue in left and Skip at second than Albert at second.
