Game 21 overflow thread II

better lucky than good, eh? it's 8 to 8, and the cards have 2 on and 2 out in the top of the 9th. . . . . as in every other inning in this stupid game. they have stranded 13 men so far today. what's the franchise record for a 9-inning game?

Ankiel is a young hitter.........in many ways

You are seeing the evolution of Ankiel out of the 4th slot at least. When you need a single against a pitcher in that much trouble, with only a change up left, you don’t throw your right hand, open your shoulder. pull your chin out…...dreaming of baseball tonight coverage….......

13 pitchers on the roster?

Seems to me that carrying only 12 position players is why we find ourselves in this predicament today. (Sorry if this has already been covered.)

Already used the wagonmaker for a pinch-hit sac fly. Looper pinch hitting now.

Maybe we’ll see Ankiel as a reliever today. :-)

I don't bake

Well. I’ll bake fish and porkchops. But I never baked cookies or anything. Actually. I tired cookies when I was like 12. I put in a tablespoon of baking soda instead of a teaspoon of baking soda. Who knew?

Man

The deeper this game goes, the worse I feel about it.

Franklin can’t hold down this lineup forever.

"Shannon says"

Sounds like a poorly written local commercial:

“Shannon says:

‘For a leaky basement, I only trust [insert local basement people here]!!’”
