Cy Welley!

Out of all the pitching surprises for the Birds this early in the season, Welley surprises me the most.

No doubt ...

Although I’d be remiss to admit that I never thought Looper would have been as consistent as he’s been … but Welley is completely surprising with his aggressiveness … and his K total …

Which is primarily one of the reasons they're doing so good ..

I mean they’ve looked confident and loose since the third week of ST … it’s been fantastic …

Great win, gents

I love the games where I can stop analyzing and just make fun of Jason LaRue the whole time. Let’s keep this rolling!

according to mlb.com

he is 9th with 20. not sure how often they update that though.

no

he had 20 going into tonight, now at 26, Peavy has 27, so he is now second depending on what others did.

think he did

good health wise but I was hoping for some production….
I can’t wait, I’m moving to Decatur after I graduate, I’m hoping to make it to a lot of Springfield games.

Unless there's a Decatur, Missouri I'm not aware of...

you might be in for a long drive.

Or even better: What's the difference between George Bush and Mark Prior?

Answer: One of them will be pitching on Opening Day.

They're calling it precautionary

hopefully so, he’ll be facing the Cubs two turns from now.

What the heck...

Conor Jackson was a double away from the cycle, and he hits another triple….

If it was a close game, I wouldn’t blame him for taking the third bag, but they were blowing the team out, stop at 2nd and make history.

what a great win tonight

i was supposed to be at the game tonight, but i couldn’t so i was pretty bummed out. thats why i stayed away from the threads tonight. i’m glad the boys bats weren’t as bummed out as i was that i couldn’t be there.

especially Albert’s. man, what a bomb.

oh well. hopefully i’ll have more chances to see the boys play at home.

I'm going to go try to find a puppy and kick it. - Brad Thompson AND THAT'S A WINNER!
