Cy Welley!

Out of all the pitching surprises for the Birds this early in the season, Welley surprises me the most.

No doubt ...

Although I’d be remiss to admit that I never thought Looper would have been as consistent as he’s been … but Welley is completely surprising with his aggressiveness … and his K total …

Loop's

successful conversion to a starter was HUGE last year. Gotta love seeing Cards’ draftees eventually pan out…and I do mean eventually.

switch him with duncan

I just want barton on the bases so i can see him ly again, he is quick as hell, or he might be slow and I have not been used to seeing speed in STL baseball.

Pitch 3 to Miles is off the Gameday screen. Did he double-bounce it up there?

why not use em for 2 at least, or anyone don’t let them eat away at the lead

Strange

Two lefties in the Giants lineup: Lewis batting #1 and Bocock at #6.

Villone’s just a lefty mop-up guy all year. Didn’t have traditional platoon splits last season.

Tony seems to be pushing these guys ...

He left Wainer in WAY to long last start … perhaps he is really counting on the Phase 2 pitching staff to spell these guys later … which explains Welley but not Wainer …

No Hurt

He has the lead, tony is seeing how welley handles it. Flawlessly, he pumped in the strikes and got through them bottom part of their lineup no probelm I would say it was the right call. Even if he started falling apart he had the bullpen ready to go,
