Al has an excuse

he had to go to a school out in BFE illinois real early this morning for an appearance. so he probably didn’t get any sleep last night. he was on the radio this morning & he wasn’t in a good mood then either.

he was in the dugout before the game i saw last week

He went up to a little kid and said “Let’s see how smart you are. I hate little kids but I like ballplayers. Which one are you?”

The little kid thought for a minute, then said “Both.”

Al just shook his head and walked away without smiling. “Not too smart.”

Glaus skinny?

Sure wasn’t when I saw him in Phoenix a couple of years ago. He looked like a middle linebacker (and homered down the third base line with one of the hardest hit balls I ever saw). HUGE guy. Yes, Dunc is skinny by comparison.
