Pineiro on Saturday???

Good day to all at VEB. This is my first post to the site and have been a fan of it for almost 2 years now but never got enough courage to actually make a post. I think many of you are smart baseball fans (and not only because you are Cards fans), you guys bring a lot of knowledge, insight, and great information to us not-so smart fans. Thanks for all you do.

So here it goes:

I am going to the game on Saturday and wanted to know who would be the starter for that game. I figure it would be Pineiro, but I am not sure after his rough outing coming back from the DL.

I know Thompson was moved so Pineiro could start. So, do you guys think Pineiro should get the start again? If not, what do you think is the possibility of him coming out of the bullpen so he can at least take baby steps in getting his strength back, because wasn't his velocity way down? Thanks for your input guys!

P.S. Just a little side note here: Pineiro was hanging out at the Lumiere Casino downtown on Monday night. I am not a tough guy at all or anything but I actually felt like I could have walked over and just pushed him around. His profile says 6'1" but I swear it was more like 5'9".  Anyway the real point to this lame story is that his wife was playing roulette next to me and holy crap is she smoking hot! Maybe he should be at the stadium working out and trying to figure out what he can do to improve rather than wondering around the casino and letting his wife blow tons of dough on roulette.

GO CARDS!!!

Pineiro will start

One bad start isn’t enough to demote him.

And I hope you were joking about the casino thing… ballplayers have lives too ya know.

Pineiro

Yeah I was kidding. I thought it was just funny plus I wanted to comment on his hot wife.

sorry to be off topic but

how is the Lumiere? Me and some buddies are heading down to StL for a weekend in May for some games and wanted to hit up the casino one night. I’ve some not-so-good things about the boat (mainly it’s location). Again, sorry to get off topic but real quickly, how do the two compare.

Also.. we are relatively broke college students so we are looking for low-limit table games : )

Thanks!

ehh...

I didn’t care for the place, but I think I was there before it was finished. Overhyped for sure if you ask me.

Welcome back Tony, adios Kip.

lumiere

Its cool enough. If i remember, the 16oz aluminums are something like 4.50? Pretty nice inside though. East side drinks will be cheap and the place will probably be dirtier. Worth checking out, I’ll go back sometime this summer though im sure.

well, he is a major league ballplayer

Even Sir Sidney Ponson doesn’t have too much trouble with women, I would imagine.

Life's a river, kid, you gotta go where it takes you.

Lumiere

I actually live 2 blocks from the Dome (5 from the stadium) and enjoy going there about once a week. My wife and I usually take $20-$40 and play till we lose it or till we are up like $100. I particularly like it because they have a bunch of new kinds of penny slots. The tables are $5 minimums unless you are there during prime time because then they are usually $10 minimums. The burger bar is pretty good to eat at and the buffet is like $18/person but is well worth it. It is super nice compared to any other STL casino too.
