MLBtv Problems
Is anyone else having historically bad problems? The server seems to be down again tonite. It seemed to be working for a minute and then I got an error saying the game I wanted to watch was blacked out. I didn't know Minneapolis was in the blackout region for a Yanks game. Anyway, I hope MLB gets this figured out. For those as upset as me, Extra Innings has the game as part of their free preview. The Birds game is on channel 12. Does anyone know a number or email I can use to contact MLB? I know it will never get answered, but it is worth a try.
Thanks

I am able to connect just fine. But it was down for most of the night last night for me. Overall I'd say I've had a pretty good experience. Every once in a while I get a weird blackout message though. There should be a number to call when it tells yo the game is blacked out.

Uninstall Silverlight
If you installed the new Microsoft Silverlight player, I would uninstall it. My connection is more than fast enough to support the new 1.2M feed, yet it would cut out on me every time. The 800K feed didn't cut out at all, but was ridiculously choppy. So I uninstalled Silverlight and went back to last year's player, and the 800K feed works great. You can't use the 1.2M feed without Silverlight, but it didn't work anyway.

You can still view the 1.2M feed
After you have uninstalled Silverlight, go to the Multimedia Guide page. Click on the 1.2M link. When it complains that you don't have Silverlight installed, click on "Go to the lower bit rate stream". Even though it says this, the stream will be 1.2M.
Silverlight sucks. I don't know why they're trying to force it down our throats.
To those that are trying to get support from MLB, good luck. They have the worst customer service. I had to get a lawyer just to be able to watch my MLB Digital Downloads that I had purchased years ago.

Trying to view the 1.2M feed
I downloaded the HD thing I needed, I've never even been prompted for Silverlight. No feeds work for me. Anyway, hopefully something works tonight.
Thanks for all the help.

I have sent
two emails complaining about Silverlight. (no response, naturally) I also uninstalled and went back to old player, but I just have a sneaking suspicion it will be forced upon you down the road. Eveybody that's had trouble should at least send an email complaint. Just go to site and find "contact us" and it will lead to way to email. If you are going to call be sure you use a speaker phone because your ear will be sore after the hour wait. oddly enough you finally get somebody though

I had a problem
last week with my account, and had to call them twice. The first CSR wouldn't help me, because she had trouble understanding me, as did her supervisor(I have a speech impediment and I've dealt with people like that all my life, but for some reason,. she pissed me off, so I hung up on them). I called back, got an operator rather quickly, but it still took forever to get my situation resolved. Last year, I had to call to tell them that I had discontinued my old bank account, and got some guy in India. To say it was an adventure would be putting it mildly.
If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

How do you unistall silverlight?
It's installed but not listed in the control panel 'add and remove programs' function?
by cardsfaninmass on Apr 2, 2008 6:08 PM EDT 0 recs
should be there
It's listed as "Microsoft Silverlight".

Annoying.
Is it just mine, or is the 16:9 widescreen feed being condensed into a standard 4:3 frame, thus distorting the image? They had it in widescreen last night. I'm annoyed...

Yeah it's pretty annoying
Wastes a lot of screen real estate too. At this point though, I'd be happy if I could stay connected. The 1.2M stream has disconnected four times so far.

19.95 for what?
I just can't believe I paid 19 bucks for this. The image last night was terrible, but I shouldn't complain -- At least I was able to watch last night.
