I am moving back to St. Louis and was in town the last couple days looking for apartments. I was listening to the Point on the radio when they brought in a sports guy for I believe it was a TV news crew. Sorry I'm bad with names, its been 5 years since I lived in St. Louis so I don't know many radio or TV people.
Anyways, he was talking about the Cardinals and how the company officially pulled out of the Ballpark Village deal. No suprises there.
Then he talked about how Mark Cuban is now "interested" in the Cardinals. The guy made it quite clear that he was not in negotiation or even talking to Dewitt, but that he was in fact interested. The Point guy asked if the Cardinals were for sale, and the sports dude said that for the right price, any team is for sale and with the Cardinals current state, Dewitt would probably be selling in three or four years. He also talked about how much money Dewitt will be making off the team in his tenure. Holy crap is all I can say about that.
Anyways, sorry if this is old news. Just curious if anyone has any other sources or heard any information about this as my source seems to be a little sketchy. Also, what would you guys think of Cuban in control? I personally love the idea.
