Interleague Games Lineup when Waino Pitching

Should the Cardinals use the Designated Hitter for one of the middle infielders during road interleague games that Waino will pitch in? Or any pitcher for that matter? Just a thought...

In MLB you can't use the DH for any position but the Pitcher I beleive, but yes in a High School game I would do it in a heartbeat.

I'm pretty sure

You can have the pitcher bat for himself, i.e.the designated hitter isn't a requirement, just an option. Or it may be something like the pitcher is also the DH, but I'm not exactly sure.

You can not use the DH

You can choose not to use the DH but you can't use it in place of a position player.

The MLB rule (6.10(b)) states the DH has to be for the pitcher. This is just wrong. If you are going to have a rule like the DH (a rule I hate , but don't get me started), the manager should be able to DH for anyone, not just the pitcher. A good hitting pitcher in an AL park gets the shaft. Is the rule set up to not imbarrass any position players?
