2008 Cardinals HD Schedule (120! games)

A poster on another forum has kindly assembled the Cardinals HD schedule for 2008 from various sources.  The good news is that this year 120 games will be available in glorious high-definition from FSN-Midwest, KSDK, Fox, and ESPN.

if they showed these on in demand

I would probably go that route in addition to mlbtv

Games in hdtv

messes up subscribers of MLBTV (which is me) You only get about 3 quarters full screen when you hit full screen. That means all my Cardinal games will be compressed view. Don't like that.

hmmmm...

You should be able to find a workaround for that to fit your screen, either through your TV or through your set top box, be it satellite or cable. I never had this issue with mlbtv when I had it, even on games in HD.

Yeah

I have been watching on computer monitor ( which is 20 in. flat panel and is good) but I just bought a new video card for my computer with an HDMI output and a new HDTV with a HDMI input so I should be able to zoom by TV controls if I have to. I'll just have to get me a twelve foot cord i guess.

It'd be nice if the cable companies offered

the Extra Innings package in high def.

Still looking for 1985 Regular Season games on DVD/VHS

Out of the area

Is there any way to get these broadcasts in HD if you're not in the fox midwest zone?

I think you'd have to get DirecTV's Extra Innings HD package

I don't think any cable company offers the full Extra Innings HD package.

I have no idea how much the package costs, but it would be in addition to the base HD programming fees.

bailorg is right

In addition to the basic programming, you'll need the HD package ($10/mo) and an HD receiver.

if you're in the cardinals 'blackout' zone, buy the 'Sports pack' ($12/mo). You can verify that here. You'll get the Cards on FSN MW, but other non-local mlb games will be blocked.

if you're not in the blackout region, get the MLB Extra Innings package. It's pricy (several hundred $ per season), but has alot of features. You can simultaneously watch 6 or 8 games on one screen - toggling through the audio for each. I think MLB.tv has something similar, but it's subject to the same blackout restrictions.

thanks for the replies.

I'll look into it. I've had extra innings through cable the last two years but quite honestly the quality was terrible. It will be tricky getting a dish mounted in my back patio with my condo association regulations but it's worth the hassle if it's possible.

This is great news

A huge improvement (about double?) over last year. the difference between HD and SD for baseball games is staggering. Maybe all games will be in HD by next year ...

I have HD

but will be watching the Cards here in Chicagoland via MLB Extra Innings. Does that still include the HD feed because as far as I know, there is no HD package for Extra Innings.

Start Skippy!
