Attending Games
I was just pondering how many games I should attend this year when I started to wonder how many fellow VEBers attend regularly every year.
So how many games do you attend on a regular year-to-year basis?

number of games
i personally only buy 1-3 games (usually opening day and try to get a cubs series game) when single game tickets become available but i usually get to go to 15-25 games a year; going through friends invites and finding really cheap tickets on sites like craigslist.
....my quick smells like french toast...
Number of games
I live near Denver and usually go see them when they play at Coors, but this year I'll be passing through St. Louis on the way to my son's college graduation and have tickets for the April 30 game vs. the Reds -- my first trip to the new park! Really looking forward to it, I haven't seen a Cards home game since '89. I lived in St. Louis in the late 70s and went all the time then; you could get an upper-deck seat for $2, if you can believe it.
Less now
For some reason, I went back to school. But, I used to do 5-10 games/ year. I qualify that with a reminder that those were in the middle of the golden era of playoff teams. Living in Des Moines, IA, I always try to make the Cards vs. Royals at Kaufman (cheaper seats and a short drive) on top games featuring returning former Cardinals (San Diego this year), vs. the Cubs, and to see specific players (perhaps Carl Crawford and other Rays this year).
I cant afford season tickets
I make it to about 3-5 games a year. Catch most of the rest on the radio.
Awfully expensive for ticket and gas anymore...
I've been to two games in my life. Once when turning 11 and once in 2006 to take my dad to a game in new Busch. I'm a season ticket holder at Springfield for both the AA Birds and the Bears, so that gets me by. I don't miss a single game on television, though, if I'm not here, I TiVo it and watch it later.
I'm half tempted to move to Atlanta. Has anyone else looked at their season ticket packages? You can get a seat for a full season, 81 games, for $200.
I still have season tickets but live in Chicago now...
I bought season tickets while living in Springfield, IL but moved to Chicago for a great job during the 2006 season. Held on to them (Left Field Bleachers) and made it down to 14 games at Busch last year, 5 Cards games at Miller Park in Milwaukee, and 5 against the Cubs here in Chicago.
Non-Cardinal games: 3 White Sox games here in Chicago, 4 other brewer games, and a random game out in Baltimore when I was visiting DC.
This year I am tentatively scheduled to see 18 various Cards game accross the country. Before I moved in August 2006, I was making to around half the games at Busch.
I need to vote twice
I live in Miami, Fl. So I see the series here against the Fish, but I make regular visits to St. Louis for games during the year. I've been to four games so far this spring, and I'll be at Opening Day too.
San Francisco
I live in San Francisco, unfortunately the cards are only out here for 4 games at the beginning of the season. But I will be going to three of the four games. Disappointed I won't be able to see Rasmus play though.
In KC
I'm in KC, but don't have much $. It works out well for me...I get to see them three times here where tickets are much cheaper and 3 times in STL (vs. the Royals so my wife can see her team twice, too) where we have to spend a little more...
stlfan
Near Spfd, MO
make the trip to STL about three times a year...try to catch at least two games on a weekend once a year. Already got one on the calendar this year and hoping to buy more tix in a couple of hours.
Thanks for the highlight moments 15 and 27!!!
In Chicago...
So I get to see them here a bit...but I also try to make it down to STL for a game if I can...
In Seattle
I go to Safeco to see the M's a couple times a year. Still waiting for the Cards to play here through intraleague games.
Rooting on the Cardinals one off-season transaction at a time!
In Arkansas
the western part, that is, about 6 hours drive from Busch III. We usually make a couple of trips a year and 2-3 games per trip. It looks a bit iffy this year as our summer is pretty busy but I'm sure we get one trip in at least.
When I lived in Texas, I only got to see the Cards when they played at the Astrodome. What fun! (not)
