Help with Defensive Analysis

I'm a senior in college at Tufts University, and one of the classes I'm taking this semester is a sabermetrics class. Every week we have a paper where we get to make arguments, for example last week's was on who we feel should have won the NL MVP award this year. Anyway this coming week the paper is supposed to be an argument for a particular player winning a Gold Glove, and obviously I'd really like to write on either Pujols or Molina.

My problem is that while I like to think of myself as pretty good at analyzing hitting and pitching stats, I really don't know much about defensive metrics. So I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend some helpful statistics and what they measure/how they measure it, or even just a website that might help explain them to me in some depth. I would greatly appreciate any help or adivce you guys might be able to give me.

Sorry if this isn't an appropriate diary, if so please feel free to delete.
