What sports would you spend $ on?

This diary springs from a piece of the conversation in today's main thread. There are a variety of options for your sports dollar in StL, and in other cities (since this is one of those worldwide web blog things). It would be interesting to know, of the VEB, community, which you would spend your sports dollar on. Please vote for only two. You can rank them in your comments if you wish. I apologize if I left any out - I know there are a lot of fans of professional curling and luge out here.

I know it says "two"
and I checked the "multiple selection" box - but it's only giving me one. Huh.
"Dude, we're running out of stadium" - said on the way to our seats in Section 428.

Tough one
I'd definitely buy Cardinals tickets if I lived near St. Louis, and in fact have tickets for one game.

However, beyond that, there are several I'd give a CHANCE to for #2, but I don't know which I'd pick.  I'd love to see an NHL game, which I havent yet, other than that, it'd be College Hoops or if it were a tournament with the big name players all present, the PGA.  I'd love to see Mickelson and Tiger.

NHL Games
Are awesome to go to. Especially the Blues because they are a franchise heading in the right direction and going to be cup contenders soon.
Gotta love this youth movement! Aaron Miles and Josh Phelps are the future of this team!

arrgh
i am so torn by both baseball and college football. growing up in STL, baseball has been what i can always depend on and see something that will put a smile on my face. However, i am almost positive i have been genteically engineered to bleed Tennessee orange. There are quite a few things i would give to see my Vols playing a game that could decide the nat'l championship in Neyland Satdium, with 107000 screaming as loud as audibly possible and singing Rocky Top nonstop. The goosebumps and tingling feeling i get when i imagine myself there are only even remotely comparale to my favorite baseball moment ever; AW's frickin sweet sledgehammer to shut the door on Beltran in Game 7. my decision comes down to which one i would be worse off without; baseball= winner
At least he's better than Esteban Yan

Tough
My vote was for MLB, as baseball is definitely a sport I would gladly spend my money on. Same goes for the NFL, College Football, the NHL, and one of my personal favorites college hockey (it is truly one of the best live sporting events around). I would not spend money on the lousy NBA, soccer of any sorts, or NASCAR. Many good choices, but in the end baseball gets my vote.

Tought Choice
I go with MLB, NHL, then Mizzou Football(I'm not a bandwagoner either, it runs in the family.)

I did MLB also
but couldn't vote for my second choice NBA.What no love for hoops on VEB? I know there isn't a team in STL (I don't think the 8 Atlanta Hawks fans in the stands would notice if they came back to STL) but alot of you out there have that Jordan jersey hanging in the closet, come on come clean.
Never thought I post this here but

GO BULLS!!!

I love college hoops.
I don't love the pro game--I know this might sound stupid, but I think they are TOO GOOD!  There's no joy for me watching a team win 102-98.  College guys have to make it work with players that have holes in their game.  Much more exciting to me...
She isn't crazy, she's just not impressed.
