Wednesday: Indians activated pitcher Aaron Fultz from the 15-day disabled list; designated pitcher Fernando Cabrera for assignment.
Fernando Cabrera bio:
25 years old righty
6-6 record in 94 games and 130 1/3 innings
118 hits
20 hr
145 K: 66 BB
7 wp
1.41 WHIP
4.35 ERA
100 ERA+
That's not bad for a youngster. I think we should sign him and send him down to the minors. I live in KC and have seen him pitch and it looks like he's got "good stuff" to me.
Also, looking at his splits, he has been a primarily second half pitcher (approx. 1/2 of his IP with a 3.27 ERA and a .701 OPS against.) Once he gets two strikes on a batter, they only hit .150 off of him (something this team has trouble with).
Anyway, just my thoughts...what are yours?
