A Busch Stadium Question

The FSMW crew the other night showed a promo deal for a Cards' home game where kids 12 and under would receive a Cardinals Build-A-Bear Teddy bear. My wife thought it was cute and now wants one. I investigated about Busch stadium and they claim to have a Build-A-Bear shop on site. The crux is that they claim you can build your own Fredbird doll. Anyhoo, if any of you have seen this shop at the stadium, do they offer only the opportunity to build a Fredbird or can you build other items? If my wife could build a Cardinals Teddy Bear, I would finally get to attend a game at the new stadium. If just a Fredbird, then it won't help (regretfully). Since my wife is over 12, this is my only chance this year of seeing new Busch! Thanks for your help in answering this question.

i think you're out of luck

if i can remember correctly, you can only build fred bird. you really even don't build fredbird, you buy him and then add whatever accesories you want. but hey, find a drinking buddy and go with him.

Does it have a Cards' uniform?

They have them in Boston, with the Red Sox uniform. I would call the Build a Bear at the Galleria and ask them about it.

Alternatively, go to the game and right before the game starts go and ask one of the people handing them out for one. How many are they giving out? If its not a limited promotion of a 1000 or something, then odds are you can find a spot that has more of them and you can sweet talk them into giving you one.

Yes, you can build a Cards Bear

I used to work for Build-A-Bear, and I have been to the stadium store at the new Busch. Unless they've changed the product mix this season (which I doubt), you can build either a Fredbird or a teddy bear (I believe they have a couple of other animals, as well, but I can't remember them all). The building process involves stuffing the animal and then selecting closes and accessories for the bear. I hope that helps.

Actually, it's both. That is, you can stand in a relatively short line and buy a pre-made Fredbird or bear or stand in a much longer line (missing probably the first two innings of the game) and make your own. Fortunately, my 16 year old was willing to take the pre-made Fredbird!
