Going to the game tonight

And I really have no idea what to expect of the Cardinals. Adam Wainwright on the mound isn't always a plus with the way this team has been up and down. Ted Lilly pitching? Oh lord, it's going to be one of those games, huh?

Star-divide

Anyone with any predictions?

For his last
three starts, Wagonmaker has been a plus on the mound.  Who knows?  I think it will be a good game.  Enjoy!  I wish I was going, I would like to see Adam pitch in person.  I'm going tomorrow night.  No offense to Looper, but I've already seen him pitch this year (live and in person, I mean).

Wagonmaker
He's my man! I think he's the future ace of the Cardinals. He's been a stud lately. Should be good.
Give Jose a chance!

Future Ace
He's there now.  No Carp untill half way tru next season, and Mulder out untill only god knows when.  Wainer is now the staff ace.
Save the Kipper don't make him go back out there.

IFs
If Wainwright can gain the confidence and experience needed to lead a staff this year.

If Mulder can become even a shell of his former self.

If Carp can pitch even as good as he did in 2004.

I can't wait to see the staff in 2009.

Waino, Carp, Mulder, Garcia?, Ottavino? looks nice.  Problem is we need someone to fill Carp's spot in 08, Looper, Thompson, Maroth and Reyes are all possible and personally I want Reyes to stay up for good once he is called up right now.

Let's hope...
he doesn't need Tommy John surgery.  that's gonna push back his ETA by almost a year.
Pitch to swing and misses...not contact. I've never heard of a "seeing eye K"

Ah it was a long night
Mainly because I sat in the middle of a group of Cub fans. Don't get me wrong, nice to hear perspective from the other side, but all they offered was "GO FONZI!" or "GEMON TED" That's "Come on Ted Lilly" by the way.

However the hotdog was good and so were the seats, although both were expensive.

The only real positive of the night was the Redbird Express. Normally I travel by metrolink, but since Redbird Express is only 50 cents more expensive, I thought I'd give it a try. I was picked up at St. Clair and rode to and from the game. I highly suggest taking it, because I will be from now on. I like a slightly longer trip from Busch to my car and vice versa to talk about the game with other fans and you get that on the Redbird express.

If you can spare 50 extra cents, give it a try at least once. Buses run 20 or so minutes after the game but buses will run before and after that, so long as the bus is full. Here's their schedule: http://www.scctd.org/html/expressserv.htm

Anyway, thought I'd pass that along. Also, has anyone notice that Wainwright has problems going through the order the second time? It was the longest inning of my life in Cub valley.

Forgot to mention
You get to see the STL night life on the ride back from night games. And if you're like me and you live out of town, it's a side of the city you don't often see.
