prince fielder passed him and is ahead by 23,000 votes, this is the time when we need to really bote for albert, price fielder is just getting all the media from ESPN cause his the son of that other guy (cecil)? fielder and because he looks funny running the bases and is fat, i say we all start voting for albert pujols ASAP the all start game would not be the same without him.

Pujols
Albert will still make the team no matter what though (Tony will pick him). But to be honest seeing Albert running a little gimpy the past several weeks I think 3 days off would be better for him and the team.
But no matter the vote Albert will be in San Fran the 2nd week of July.

Much better?
According to UZR, Pujols takes care of that gap with the glove, and of course he might take care of it with the bat before the all-star game is even played.

All-star Voting
I can't stand fan voting. It has totally diminished what it means to be a all-star player. No longer are you the best, you are just the fan favorite. The all-star game has turned into the Yankees/Red Soxs vs. the Mets.
Yes I understand the all-star game is for the fans, but lets just let the players/coaches decide who's the best that year and we won't notice at all. I bet it will even make the game better.

I disagree
I think the one-team rep is a good rule. If for no other reason that it keeps at least a couple of the large-market team players home. Who wants to see a complete AS team of Yanks and Red Sox?
