Burwell on Pujols
Sorry if this is old news to people, but I just wanted to say I found Bryan Burwell's column on Pujols and his father's alcoholism quite touching. Started out thinking it was a sanctimonious take (for which, frankly, I have come to know Burwell) on the issue of alcohol remaining such a fixture for Cards' fans post-Hancock tragedy. But in the second half of the column I was surprised -- and saddened even more.

There aren't enough cabs
They could easily extend hours on gameday until 1:00, at least for the train.

Grudge
I still think about it every time I read one of his article though. Guess I'm not so forgiving, nice piece or not...

Burwell sucks
This current article has some merit but from a journalistic standpoint it sucked. He talks about spilled beer twice and makes no real point either time. The last line about the "cushion said Budweiser on it" was pointless. We already got the idea about a ballpark named after a beer, the scoreboard say budweiser, ect... He went over the top with that line and it sounded sappy.
