Bennett's Option Declined
Not that's it's relevant, but just thought I'd share. I don't know what this means as far as who they will get to back up Molina. I, personally, think it's a moot point, and we could put one of those throw back things little kids use for all I care. We'll see I suppose.

Funny
I don't have too much of a comment here. Back up catchers generally cost nothing unless you are Henry Blanco. The Cubs are paying him like $3.25 million this year.
Is Anderson ready to move up? He will not play a lot so I would not want to stop is progression. I think AB's are probably more important at this time so I guess I have no real opinion on a back up catcher.
I wonder what happens
yadi's brother jose
I looked this up the other day
Brandon Yarbrough
Posada
Nah
Backups
Once Team USA is done on their trip the front office will ask themselves if Anderson is ready. Most likely answer is that he is not yet ready. At this point Molina will be contacted unless he is already under a contract, if he comes cheap enough (probably making less then his little brother) then he gets the job. Next the Cards will look at Stinnett or another washed up catcher just looking for a few bucks and a few more ABs. Anything to keep the backup costing less then 1M.
Interestingly bad idea
Mike Matheny
He won't have to play everyday, he can continue to mentor Yadi, he can learn to coach, assist with video, etc. Worth a shot but I seriously doubt he would take it, want it or that the club would want to risk his injury flaring up.
knoedler..
I've been advocating

Don't rely on me, though
(He'd have been better than Keisler, though.)
