Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Has anyone ever thought of this?

That the real reason Rolen and Edmonds are always having problems with LaRussa is that when they are hurt and not producing he calls them out in the papers and when Albert is hurt and not producing he makes excuses for him? I think that's be biggest problem with LaRussa as a manager, he plays too much favortism. If it wasn't for that then Dan Haren would still be a Cardinal. He didn't like Haren so they shipped him out, which is why they haven't shipped out Reyes yet, they are afraid the same thing will happen. The bottom line is, Tony needs to stop letting Pujols dictate what happenes in the clubhouse because it sure seems like that's the case. When Tony tells him to sit a game, he doesn't do it. So why should Scott and Jim sit down when Albert doesn't. Yes, I know he produces more than they do but thats a moot point. He still needs to treat him the same. When you are having problems with 2/3 or you "MV3" thats not a good situation.

I'll have to respectfully disagree
Albert Pujols MUST be in the lineup everyday.  There is no way to replace him even if he isn't 100%.  Plus, he plays first base which is less demanding then 3B or CF.

When
is Albert ever "hurt and not producing"?  He's almost always hurt, but at the same time he always produces.  Scott and Jim sit because they've shown they can't play every day for weeks on end and continue to be half-decent.  Albert plays every day and produces.

Well
Considering Pujols's injuries are sore hammies and (well until about 05) planta fasciitis (a chronic extremely uber sore arch that can be treated) I think he's proven that he can stomach those...Plus the dude rakes anyway.

Rolen has 2 surgically repaired shoulders that were essentially destroyed each.

Edmonds had a moderate concussion and PCS (which has lead to suicides in pro football players later in life btw) and an essentially annihilated foot.

I think that the other two dudes should be sat once and awhile to let their crap heal.  Pujols has severe aches and pains.  In other words, apples and frickin' oranges.

Anyone else
find that extremely hard to follow?

Follow
I think I followed it until the final sentence about apples and oranges.

All in all Albert has suffered little decline while playing hurt.  Jim and Scott have suffered injuries that have severly cut into their production.

If Albert got to the point where he couldn't move ala Jimmy or couldn't hit 85 MPH fastballs like Scott then I am sure Tony would have eventually made him sit.
