Fielding Bible Awards Two Cards Win
http://www.stltoday.com/blogs/sports-bird-land/2007/11/molina-pujols-snag-fielding-awards/
Molina and Pujols were recognized for being the best defensively at their position in all of baseball in the second ever Fielding Bible Awards.
I wonder what this means for the Gold Gloves. Goold also throws in the line that Molina is the favorite right now for Catcher and we know Pujols has some competition this year.
Personally this is how I see the NL GG going down for positions that I paid attention too:
C: Martin
1B: Helton
SS: Rollins with Tulo very close
3B: Rolen (though it could be close and he could miss it badly I just don't know)
OF: Griffy, Jones, not sure

Thoughts
I think mine would be:
C: Molina
1B: Pujols
2B: O. Hudson
3B: P. Feliz
SS: Tulo
OF: Beltran
OF: A. Jones
OF: Victorino
Utley and Wright were pretty good too, but I prefer the other two. If Everett would have been healthy he may have beat out Tulo, but he wasn't so oh well.

Unsure
For CFers I think Rowand is the best this year, 11 A and only 2 E (JEd had 8 and 5 and Beltran had 6 and 5), he lacks in RF but is second to Beltran in ZR. To me this says that Rowand is the best at fielding the ball when he gets too it, Beltran may be like Jimmy though and take high risks on balls others wouldn't get too so maybe I am unfairly hurting him. Victorino, Holliday and Soriano may even enter the discussion but playing in a corner might hurt them as well, that is one reason why I prefer the fielding bible splitting up th OF. I am more sold on Beltran now then I was before I looked at these stats but I just remember reading too much about him having such a down defensive season this year.
Here's my best guess
1b: Very close between Helton and Pujols. I think Helton gets it this year, but Pujols is going to need an extra trophy shelf just for gold gloves by the time he'd done.
2b: Brandon Phillips leads NL second basemen in most defensive categories, but Orlando Hudson blows him away with plays made out of zone, and I think he gets the gold glove.
SS: Should be Tulowitski. Might be Visquel or Rollins.
3b: Chipper Jones. The injury time hurts Rolen here, if he'd played the whole season it'd be a no-brainer.
OF: A little bit harder to guess, but I'm going to go with Holiday, A. Jones, and Austin Kearns. Beltran, Francouer, and Rowand would all be decent choices as well.
I have no idea about pitchers. Doesn't Maddux usually get this one?
It won't be Rolen
3b will be Wright or Zimmerman
Um, are you serious?
Terrible arm?
hmm
Anyway Martin is in the top 5 defensive catchers, his arm is not terrible it is good, and accurate just not Yadi good, but only Pudge is Yadi good right now and even he is having a down year. I hope this is Yadi's year I really do.
My guesses
1B - Helton (Pujols and Lee close)
2B - Hudson
SS - Tulowitzki (Wilson and Rollins close)
3B - Feliz or Wright(Rolen close but too much time out)
OF - Rowand
OF - Jones (on reputation alone)
OF - Beltran (not deserving either)
Close but no cigar: Martin, Pujols, D.Lee, Wright, Rolen, Jack Wilson, Rollins, Cameron
