Hiroki Kuroda

If he opts out of his contract in Japan, should the Cardinals go after him? He had a stellar '06 with a 1.85 ERA, but posted a 3.56 ERA this year. MLB Trade Rumors says the Cubs and Mariners have shown interest, and it also says that he may be a nice fit at a cheap price in the NL Central. MLBT was suggesting a 3-year 12 mil contract. Sounds about what the redbirds have to pay for a starter. All i can say is that it beats Kip Wells.
