John Shuerholz resigning

With Walt's departure after 13 years in St. Louis and Shuerholz's 17 with the Braves, it looks like there really is a changing of the guard/shift in philosophies in the way baseball teams are being run.
Both men were very, very good at what they did, for a long time.

Besides, Shuerholz dedicates an entire chapter in his book to why "Moneyball doesn't work." And to back this up, he uses quotes from Hawk Harrelson. Pretty much all the proof you need that Shuerholz is not the right man for us.
Oh, and let's not go ga-ga over the Texiera deal yet.
