Rolen's slump
make no mistake, i love scott rolen however, there is no denying his significant role in the current streak/slide.
last 7 days: 2-20 with 1 rbi, 1 run scored and 1 walk.
this month: 13-68 with 11 rbi (7 in one game), 5 runs scored and 7 walks.
i also recognize that most players slump at some point during the season, but this is particularly bad timing.

Slip 'n' Slide Scotty
Then, something went horribly cold. His current 1st half/2nd half splits are about as polar opposite as a player can craft (.330/.245) and it's felt like one grinding death march, watching him try to catch up to pitches. Even his defense has included some strangely costly lapses at key times. That's not SR.
Just imagine Albert's stats if there was a fearsome Rolen hitting behind him these past couple months and teams were less inclined to give AR the free pass.
