all 6 years at least 30 dongs
I have been (sadly) tracking Albert climb through the ranks since he was a rookie. Seriously. When he gets a hit I look at the end of the night to see where he ranks amongst the all time hit leaders. I thought about writing a constant diary on here updating you, but thankfully that has passed.
In the end beyond the cardinals winning all I care about is that Albert has a 100-30-100-.300 line and I can proudly listen to announcers over and over again talk about his best start in history. Tonight, one of those goals was reached.
So just for kicks, here's what Albert's 30th homer did for the history books.
Career mark 231.
208th all time tied with Gerrit Anderson and Paul Konerko passing Rob Deer. Albert has over 1,000 less career at bats than Konerko and half the career at bats of Anderson.
38th amongst active players, the next closest player to have LESS at bats than Pujols is Dunn with 186. Over the same amount of at bats Dunn would have the same amount, Albert is a couple of months younger.
