KDKA News reported on Saturday that a deal was close to being finalized last week until the Pirates demanded one of the Cardinals two top pitching prospects.  However, it's believed that while the Cardinals are in town next week, a deal will be completed.

Craig Wilson would be a steal, especially if we don't have to give up Reyes or Wainwright for him.  If we can get him, we've got a LF for the next 5 years, easy.  He's a hard worker, just wants to play everyday (and should here in Pittsburgh) with some pop.  Just needs to cut his friggin hair.
