On this date in Cardinal history - May 9, 1988 - Jose Oquendo was the losing pitcher in a 19-inning loss to the Braves. He became the first non-pitcher to get a decision in a MLB game in more than 20 years.

(props to my STL Cardinal Calendar for that tidbit.)

This begs the question, who would you rather see take the mound for STL?
