lots want to trade for another outfielder, or a power starter for the rotation..
i found myself watching randy flores struggling his last few outings, and am a bit worried about our lefty relief core..i like flores, and he has proved his worth as a second lefty in the pen, but can he be "the guy" to come in and get people like a david ortiz/adam dunn in october with the game on the line? i dont know..tyler johnson hasnt proved anything at the major league level. beyond those two guys we got nothing, carmen cali? ouch...
if flores struggles and tyler doesnt make great progress, or if any of em get hurt at all, come playoff time we could be in a world of trouble..
our biggest needs to me seem to be (in order of importance)
1)stud lefty reliever for insurance..
2)power starter for playoff rotation
3)outfielder with a bat
number 2 doesnt even mean i dislike mulder, i even think we should resign him if at all possible. who is comparable to mulder? he is relatively young, a proven winner, and a lefty...if he can just cut down on one or two mistakes a game the guy could be undefeated this year..
i just think we need another carpenter type, but maybe wainwright or reyes will come up and be that guy...
and concerning number 3, everytime you vote in a poll that the cardinals should trade for another outfielder, a baby kitten dies...
