I decide to peruse the stats of the Cards minor league teams today and found a few interesting names with good stat lines so far that I haven't heard too much about:
At Quad Cities, Jaime Garcia (LHP, 19 years old) has a line of 47.1 IP, 2.66 ERA, 54 K, 14 BB, 0 HR, 1.14 WHIP.
Also at Quad Cities, Bryan Anderson (C, 19)is hitting .307/.407/.446 with 16 BB and 24K in 101 AB's.
At High A Palm Beach, Matthew Scherer (P, 23) has a 4.67 ERA and has given up 4 HR in 27 IP, but has a K/BB ratio of 41/7.
Garcia and Scherer didn't crack John Sickel's Cardinals top 20 prospects this year, while Anderson came in at #8. Anybody know anything else about these guys?
