AJ Burnett
Some of the best moves are the ones you don't make:
"The Blue Jays put pitcher A.J. Burnett on the 15-day disabled list with an injury to his right elbow for the second time this season. Burnett left his start against the Red Sox on Friday night after four innings with soreness in his elbow, and is scheduled to visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama on Monday. "They don't seem to think it's anything structurally wrong," manager John Gibbons told the Associated Press. "He'll go see the guy who did the surgery. Hopefully, he'll get some reassurance from him. Until he sees him we won't know." -Fanball.com

Is this the time
Good pitcher, but he was always more of a Pavano to me; good pitcher but not worth the $$.
Now, Ponson surprised me; good signing so far.
Encarnacion, way too much $$ (and that's not just because of his slump).
There were some -good- bullpen arms out there to be grabbed. Looper could possibly turn out pretty good in the setup role, but for the most part, I wasn't impressed with our offseason.
I also wanted to grab Wily Mo :(

Burnett
That's my opinion. I really wish we would have ponied up and acquired Beckett when he was being shopped, but I think the Sox probably just had better prospects to offer. That would have been one heck of a rotation. C'est la vie.
My two cents, fwiw.
