Schmidt May Still be Available

There's still hope Azruvatar

Per Bernie:

"Talked to one of the Cardinals' higher-ups just now...

DeWitt and Jocketty have been told that there's no deal yet -- and that they (Schmidt and his agents) would like to still have discussions.... so as far as the Cardinals are concerned, there's still reason to have discussion with Schmidt's agents... and I am told the Cardinals are making a "strong" offer. "

This was at 414 central time.

That was 4:14,
Anyone heard anything new on the subject?  Do we have to wait until tomorrow to find out?  NOWHERE have I read that the deal with Schmidt and L.A. is finalized...Here's to hoping

Have I become synonymous with signing Schmidt?
If we sign him now after I took my signature off, I'll feel terrible.  I might owe Jason Schmidt a personal apology.

Or make a new signature
Jason Schmidt:  acquired!

or..
He could go with something more broad now that he could leave on such as: "Jason Schmidt: Acquired...by someone!"
