I just watched that classic movie with Akyrod and Murphy. In it the two big wigs debated the point of environment and ability. So do you guys believe that the players here base themselves on ability or environment. i.e. spezio/weaver.? Do us, as fans have a play in our guys performence? Is there anyway that we play on them as much as they play on us? I was merely thinking that this is possible in Cardinal nation.

I think so...
Players are people too, and I think that fans have a HUGE affect on them.  We are their critics, their hard ass boss who loves you when youre doing great, tries to help you if youre down for a bit, but if youre down for a while, youre gone.

I became very upset last year when Izzy was booed, simply because he screwed up a couple times.  A batter can go a week without getting on base, and he doesnt get booed, but a pitcher is on thin ice.  Poor guy...
Oh well, he still makes 9 million dollars...so i dont feel THAT bad for him

BLaw.

Depends on the guy
When I was involved in sports I didn't give a crap who rooted for me, who jeered me, and if my friends or my family were there.  But I know a lot of other guys got a charge from cheers, friends and family.  I'm sue MLBers are a diverse group.  Some care; others don't.

Of course you will never hear them say "I don't care," since having fans involved in the games is a great selling point.
