Drew hurt?
I read this articlehttp://www.mlbtraderumors.com/ and I couldn't help but laugh. I remember the "Battery Game." My wife and I drove down from Syracuse to the Vet. We were in the parking lot and heard a chorus of Boo's. I told her then that Drew must be up. Well, after we got to our seats it all got worse. At the time I felt horrible for the young Mr. Drew, but now the irony of this makes me laugh.

Ironic is the worst of those though
Someone needs to take Alanis Morrisette(sp?) aside and teach her what irony actually is.
I liked Drew. Some of those problems were reoccuring and you could say were either his fault for having more mechanics in some part of his game, or at the very least because he didn't rehab well enough. But some of those problems(like the broken hand he got from a high heater from DAvid Wells, what was that? 2000? 2001?) were just freak accidents that could have happened to anyone.
Not saying I feel bad for him. I find it hard to pity someone who makes in one day's work what I make all year.

I like unique...
Its like saying albert pujols hit "sooo 49 homeruns" or "the most 49 homeruns"
don't make no sense.

So says Webster...
I think JD's current plight could be called ironic. The definition is quite broad...
JD opted out of an immense contract for an even bigger contract that, his agent assured him, would certainly be offered. Now he may end up with less or nothing.
Didn't one of Aesop's fables cover this.
