Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS

Right now on ESPN.com, they have a poll which reads "Which of these teams will win the 2007 World Series?" and the options are Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, and Twins.

I know it seems reasonably unlikely that the Cardinals would repeat, but how ridiculous is it that they do not include the current World Champions who are likely to return a similar, and possibly improved team next year?

Just another reason to hate ESPN. GO CARDS

but....
if you are going to pick five teams that might win the WS next year, don't you put the reigning champions up there simply as a courtesy to them?

I mean, why the hell are the Twins up there? Or the White Sox? We won the World Series, and teams that got worked on route to the World Series beat us out?

Forget ESPN.

I'm so ready for the WS parade today and then Hot Stove season which I also love.

"The Experts Are Idiots"
Best sign I have ever seen at Busch, Game 5 2006 World Series.

That is just dumb.....
As if those teams are the only realistic WS winners next year.  The problem with ESPN is that there are plenty of naive sports fans who believe their crap because they call themselves experts.

Yeah
Of course the Red Sox, a team that didn't win the playoffs, have a better chance than the defending champs.  . .

ESPN
is the McDonalds of sports journalism.  They have shitty employees that serve up a piss poor product but everyone eats it up anyway because its so readily available.
