Going to Game 3

Finally got tix in section 170 for Game 3.  Flying in from LA tomorrow.  Look for me with my Viva El Birdos shirt (although it may be underneath 5 layers of clothes)!

I would have gotten Game 5 instead, but I'm concerned about the weather.  I'm assuming that a Game 4 rain delay would move to Friday, but I'm flying back that morning.

Also, thinking of getting Coca Cola Scoreboard patio tix for Game 4 or 5 if the weather holds up.  What's the story with the free beer and food?  Is it all game or just before the game?

Where's everyone else going to be?

Enjoy the game!
At least I'll know that someone from VEB is enjoying the festivities at Busch.  Today's prices make me realize just how lucky I was to get 2 tix for $60 (30 apiece) for Game 2 of the NLCS against the Giants when Rich Aurelia bashed Woody's head in for 2 HR's.  I lucked into those tickets.

Hope you enjoy the new stadium.  Had fun in the bleachers on Albert's 3HR day vs. Pittsburgh in Sep.

Coke Scoreboard Patio
You get beer 30 minutes before the game and up until the middle of the 7th.  I think food starts 30 minutes before and goes to the 5th. Be careful though about buying Scoreboard Patio seats. They have added a lot of seats for the playoffs that don't include food and drink.

Good to know
So only some of the SBP have free food and drinks?  Any way to tell?  Thanks!

Coca Cola Scoreboard Patio
We met some guys at the game last night that had SBP seats, and they said that yes, normally there are food and drinks, but NOT during the postseason for any of the SBP seats.

SRO
can anyone tell me what the standing room only experience is like?  i have a SRO ticket for game 5.

SRO
Get there early, and head for the area right behind home plate.  There is standing room roped off in the entryways just to the first base side of home - this is a great place to watch the game if you don't mind standing for 9 innings.

You can also stand out behind the bleachers in left field - this is fine, but much further away.  The remainder of the standing room, afaik, are like the old park, the areas between stairways on the concourses, so there are limited places to stand.

I have my season tickets for game 5 out in the left field bleachers - $90 each face, and I am not complaining at all, so here's to hoping it's a world championship winner.
