After the upsetting loss yesterday, it took me awhile to realize that it is fate for the Cards to win today. Not only will Suppan win the MVP (who else could right now...Yadi?), but the Cards are in the same boat as 04 when I was back over here in the sandbox.

And just like 04, I have kept up my superstitions. Because I was a Marine then I couldn't sport a playoff beard. And I started shaving again a couple of weeks ago -- everytime I'm clean shaven the birds on the bat win. Last night I forgot to shave, and so I will take the blame.

Don't worry all that's not going to happen tonight. I'm clean shaven, sporting my blue cardinals warm-up jersey (it needs a bath but I'm not going to ruin the moment), and I'll be yelling at my computer just as loud as I would be any good sports bar....
