American League Foes

Disclaimer: To the Fates, the Gods, God, or any other higher power looking for excuses to jinx, hex, or otherwise unfairly handicap the Cardinals...this thread is purely about hypothetical oppenents for whichever NL team you select to best represent the league at the Fall Classic. There is no assumption whatsoever, implied or otherwise, that the Cards will be involved.

That being said...

Star-divide

We know they'll get home field advantage, but we don't know who they'll be yet. As I write this, before the night games are decided, there is a 3 way tie for the AL wild card. So...as NATIONAL LEAGUE fans (see above disclaimer), who do you fear most of the potential opponents from the Land Of Pitchers Too Afraid To Swing A Bat.

Support for your vote?
I voted for the Cleveland Indians after much soul searching and debate.  Frankly, none of the AL teams scare me much and none as much as the NL teams still in the hunt.  Florida, Atlanta, and the Houston, in that order scare me more than any of these teams.

Indians I think have the closest thing to a complete team, though I did considering voting for the Angels for awhile.  Also, the Indians are hot right now and that seems to be the best predictor of post season success.

Whoever surivives the NL should win the World Series.

i voted for
the los angeles/cucamonga/escondido angels of anaheim/malibu/hermosa beach. i guess i did so because they've been there before, even though their bullpen is sucking wind right now.

i would agree with
lboros, but oakland also seems to perennially choke.  something about the white sox troubles me. maybe its our recent experience with a team long overdue to win the WS...

I voted for the Yankees
Though they've been down some, I still think they have the talent to make a strong run in the playoffs. The Marlins are still the team that scares me the most, however.
