the tech guys are working on the red-typeface thing and associated display problems. i gather these problems exist only for users of Internet Explorer --- yes? if you're seeing red type, please let me know what browser you're using so we can get this worked out.

I use both
IE and Firefox, and it's showing up black on Firefox, but red on IE.

Don't use IE unless forced.

Still red in the damn IE. The page has also grown--used to fit fine on my screen and now I have to scroll right and left to read everything.

I've never seen it
in either IE or Firefox.  Windows  XP on both boxes.

Oversize pages
I've seen a few people mention this.  I have the problem in IE, but it's not just this site.  LOTS of sites (now that I think about it, lots of blog sites and sports sites) show that behavior in IE now.  I assumed there was some common server upgrade or standard change or something.
